Edward Lee Pittman



Edward Lee Pittman, age 75, Harrodsburg, widower of Jessie Pearl Broughton Pittman, died Sunday, October 22, 2006 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.

Born July 29, 1931 in Mercer County, KY, he was the son of the late Clarence and Louise (Lyons) Pittman. He served this country during the Korean war in the Army.

He worked for General Electric in the shipping and receiving department. Ed was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Louisville and the Model A Club.

Survivors include: two daughters: Teresa Lopez of Harrodsburg, KY and Elaine Hoskins of Louisville, KY; one son: John Pittman of Harrodsburg, KY; four sisters: Alice and Irene Baker both of Harrodsburg, KY, Gladys Ransdell of Salvisa, KY and Jessie Devine of Burgin, KY; two brothers: Jimmy Pittman and Clarence Pittman Jr. of Harrodsburg, KY; Six Grandchildren ; Five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son: Edward V. Lay and two brothers: Marion Pittman and A.C. Pittman.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 25 at the Immanuel Baptist Church by Randy McPheron and Harold Best.

My Father-in law passed away a week ago today. He was a man who loved the Lord, and he will be missed. He has my gratitude for my wife and children, and his memory will live as a good one.
